Here you go! This is from about 3:00-6:00 today. Looks like only about 0.1” along GA 20. Heavier rain was generally to the east of GA 20 earlier. Although another wave is currently coming in from the south.1779749408476.png
 
Got hit hard lately this afternoon with a total of 4.36 inches. As good as that is, only a few miles away they probably got double that...with nearby being trained over and over again for a few hours before it ever rained here.

Just realized an oddity. The other day I reported a 2 day total of 3.64...same 3 numbers in the total...and it all adds up to exactly 8 inches. Matrix confirmed.
 
i really hope this ends up happening. i know that we are going towards el nino and will likely get more opportunities, but i want to put the biggest dent in the drought we can for everyone. a lot of what's happened is sporadic, feast or famine. while some places have gotten over a foot of rain, others with just an inch or so total. a slow moving system like this would likely take care of it for the majority of everyone else. basically tropical in nature, so big time rains and i like the idea of ridging potentially being able to trap it.. i know.. crazy talk, but one can dream.

also, technically this would be in june, not may.

We apparently were hit so hard overnight with rain that there was still a puddle in the road in front of the house, and it's hard to believe that it would've stuck from storms around midnight, so at the latest, it was probably 3-4 AM when it was last raining hard. It was even still lightly raining initially when I just woke up.

It's already miserable outside. It should clear, so this humidity plus the sun is going to help fire more storms.

Yep, only .9 imby and a few others around my neck of the woods had even less. Great for short term drought, crops, grass, etc but didn't put a dent in long term drought issues. Lakes, ponds, creeks, etc still very low
 
Henderson county and surrounding NC mountain areas have been hit with very heavy rains over the last 96 hrs in the aggregate per Cocorahs reports!

1.56" from apparently two storms in the last 24 hours. Total for the last 4 days is around 3.78".

More trying to fire now just around lunchtime.
 
Here in Caldwell Co. we have been hammered with rain in last 48-72 hrs especially yesterday evening. Lot of reports of up to 6.5 inches of rain!! Just had another heavy burst of rain, and more on the way it looks like!!
