KPDK: 93
KFYY: 92
KFCC: 92

Humidity is lower, skies are blue, and temps will climb much higher today.

Currently 84.9/71.4

In my area at noon, the HI was 5 higher than it was 24 hours ago due to a combo of it being 2 hotter and dewpoints being 2-3 higher.

Tampa has on record never hit 100 with records back to 1890! Other than the Keys and St. Pete, all other major FL stations have hit 100 with most several times. Even Miami hit 100 in July of 1942.

Tampa was 97 at 1PM today, a whopping 7 hotter than 24 hours earlier! Unlike yesterday at 1PM, winds today are from a hot inland NE direction. Skies are mostly sunny. They’ll have a chance to barely hit 100 though the forecast is for upper 90s.

There’s a 597-8 dm H5 centered over S GA.

We are actually getting a light shower here at the house near Lake Wheeler. I just got back from taking my granddaughter to Target and she predicted it to my shock. She said, "Pa Pa, we are going to get some rain". I blew it off in the back of my mind and kept driving. Sure enough, I got home to light rain falling. Today she was more weatherwise than I was.

Strong disagreement between local PWS and ASOS around here.

Nearest PWS
101.5/76.3 (117) and 100.8/75 (115)
Meanwhile, nearest ASOS
95/66 (99)

1. Thanks to a popup thunderstorm, FAY plunged from 100 and an HI of 114-5 at 1PM to 83 at 2PM!

2. Tampa hit 99 at 2PM. 99 already ties the alltime record hit 6/26/2020 and 6/5/1985!

I doubt these are very accurate. This is not in a parked vehicle. I was picking my stepson up at work and this is on the way there traveling at 55mph. Not in town at an intersection. View attachment 173678

We generally like to say that the car needs to be running a bit before you factor in the temps the car says...and even then, it's probably still off.

Still a bit of time left, but KAGS stalled at 97-98 after it ramped quickly to start the day.
