Just another example of where the GFS has lost its ever-loving mind ....5.78 inches of freezing rain! ..... yeah, that's likely to happen.View attachment 180548
Most believable GFS outcome
almost like i've been around a day or twoAnother thing that was imparted upon me by the elders:
Never get too high or too low with one cycle. If you can regulate that, you’ll automatically know when it’s time to get legitimately excited.
Crazy, My wife and I have worked nights for the last 10 years and we go to bed when your are waking up at 4AM. I hated waking up at 5AM for years and finally switched that up around 2015. I absolutely love it now. Wake up around 11AM and honestly it feels like every morning is a weekend. We bought blackout curtains for the bedroom so it’s pitch black and no worries of light getting in. I’m just not a morning person and haven’t seen a sunrise in many many years now.I do. But I have a really strict schedule man. Me & the fam go to bed about 8 & I am back up at around 3:30-4 am
Just posted about how my wife and myself work nights. I love the night schedule and will never go back to 5AM alarms going offMeanwhile I'm working night shift and have been since February and woke up at 7pm last night haha
It was really nice in the summer to miss all the awful heat lol so terrible
And it always looks the same. A warm nose in South Carolina. LmaoEvery single time there is a beautiful snowstorm map for the Southeast, it is the CFS. I don't even have to look at the model type on the image. I just know it's the CFS.
Well said! Our annual snowfall averages are what they are for a reason. This is the south. Something is almost always missing from that dream of a Goldilocks pattern to materialize. Having a 4 sigma block helps with storm tracks, and an active STJ helps deliver multiple opportunities to score, but if Barney is camping on the other side of the globe...well then we're threading the needle with marginal temps. But suppose Barney is on this side...then everything is supressed and too cold/dry and we end up begging for the block to ease up so we can sneak moisture in and thread the needle that way. Its a compromise most of the time. Once or twice a decade the stars align just right and we get that board wide setup. But most years, take what you can get, whenever you can get it, however you can get it. If you like snow, then be patient and don't get too picky on how/when it arrives lol.
TL/DR - if anything can go wrong, it probably will, and we're good at it too.
Pretty wintry for your house on the same latitude as Guadalajara MexicoI was hoping next week would be wintry but this doesn’t look very wintry. View attachment 180600
You better believe when the cold comes that active southern stream will dry up like a month old Christmas tree.We are so back to tracking Barney cold and dry (* ducks and hides…I know some hate that but I’m good with it - I’ve seen enough rain and 40 degrees in my lifetime lol)

You'd think he would just keep his name on here and not use bigedd
It does not have to dry up. It's nonexistent right now and I do not look for it to show up all winter long. 2026 has 1986 written all over it weatherwise. You better believe when the cold comes that active southern stream will dry up like a month old Christmas tree.
