The next batch of energy coming down the hatch is really complicated. It has like 3 seperate shortwaves in embedded within the batch. This makes it hard to know what will happen.
I’ll bet if you pull the soundings they’ll tell you a different story

Who knows what will happen here. You have a shortwave in western Canada dropping down getting ready to scrunch the energy together...
You have a lakes low and you have a lead shortwave south of that. How that all affects the back shortwave (which is what we care about) is really unknown.
Just no cold air to work with on the second system. I miss the days of a good old banana high to our North...

And the Canada wave scrunched it all together and the back shortwave gets left behind LOL
I don't hate this general look as we enter Lala Land.
Well, used to LaLa land had 1060 highs that trended to 1035 highs. Now LaLa land has 1040 highs that trend toward 980 Lakes cutters.

18z Euro AI has a nice anafront next weekend with a follow up clipper that drops a nice coating into North Carolina. The clipper looks like an early December 2024 redux with high ratios

This H5 configuration isn’t far from a CAD event. Need to load up the base more of the trough digging to our west and slow that vortex southeast of Greenland 
I notice the GFS OP has dropped the idea of a mega-death-ridge over the Bering Sea over the past few runs. SW US trough goes bye-bye again?

Wow, the 18z euro is basically right on top of the 18z GFS. In fact the euro looks a bit better, that TPV was dug quite in…. Was probably about to show snow somewhere in the Carolina’s with that look imo

Seems like the AIFS ens is making more moves then the OP itself 
My guess (on extrapolation) would be near/over Fl or just off the coast.

Not with the lower atmosphere profile. Maybe the mountains and WV/VA if this thing ramps up. Check out the sounding just south of Atlanta at 144 hours on the Euro. It would be a nice, cool, rain maker, though.

The total QPF from The NBM is looking good for this weekend! Ukie had almost 4.2" in my area!

Hence why I said winter storm and not snow storm plus mentioned it probably won’t happen. I normally have paid service but there’s been no real threats yet so not going to pay until there’s actually snow to track.
