gfs is 3 or 4 degrees colder at the surface overall in north ga and the upstate
this is new.

Dang this GFS is a longer duration storm.
Guys let’s keep down is it north or is it south comments. This storm is going to have movements for the next 3-4 days.

History would show that 85 is the dividing line in the upstate. We tend to over-perform with snow totals north of 85. Doesn’t quite give in to zr as quickly as models show

48 hours practically. Snow depth looks like ATL gets buried in a foot of sleet if I'm correct

What’s crazy is if I look at the soundings, even though the surface maps show sleet, we are still probably an all snow event along and north of 85 from Ne Georgia, through the upstate, and the the Piedmont/coastal plane of Nc
Looks pretty similar to something we've already been shown:One of these is not like the other
canadian west with baja, so far coming a tick south. the envelope is getting smaller.

Ran some soundings here. Unfortunately majority of that run the 700mb layer is just too warm. Everything else is frigid. Hopefully the models are just underdoing the CAD's impact on the 700mb layer. Otherwise this could be a huge problem

Long 3 days ahead. We been on ceiling level since start. Cant go any higher and only down. Like walking on glass, trying to get to the teller window an cash out.

Depends on where you’re at. imby it’s cold enough for all snow
it's trying to phase. gearing up for something weird. crazy thing is the cold push is so robust that heights didn't elevate very much ahead of the trough
