GEFS much warmer than Euro ens at this stage. This time the Euro ens is much more excited....
Lots of time but a signal is there! I would favor west of Apps for now especially with a west to east orientation expected.

LP track per 12z GFS is damn near perfect. But not enough cold press

I'm more interested in the 26-28th time frame but if this system wants to throw a few snowflakes around, I'm game.

We need blocking of some kind up in Greenland to actually force this cold core down into the upper GL at least . Not much time left to play major H5 features into existence but if we can just get some pressure and movement it's game on.

Be careful when utilizing the Euro AI Ensemble. It's individual members count any frozen precipitation as snow, skewing the mean and giving faulty results.
The NC folks are just looking for anything frozen so it’s a solid signal

This thing is already coming into the Tennessee Valley 120 hours from now on some guidance.
Not a hit here but the mega wedge is real. If we waste it with a cutter I’ll ban myself

18z Euro was further south with the TPV and bringing in a lot of cold air into the system in the middle of the afternoon.
Does the rule apply that a low cant crash into a wedge?

Unless we can get a stronger LP further south I think this one will be west of the apps favored. Also might just fall apart and help build itself for the 25th-27th threat

Only the GEFS agrees with this. It wants to dump out west a lot and I don’t see that happening

One positive thing with this potential…it seems like most “big” event are picked up well ahead of time like this one is. I feel like every event that actually happened in my area was tracked for atleast a week+ leading up to.
