Just based on banding in northern Georgia, it doesn’t look like really extremely heavy rates. More so just moderate rainfall. Makes me think it’ll probably be all ZR along and north of 85

Fog really crashing into the area now
Just as the wedge often saves us here east of town, the squall line is diminishing and no longer has a severe T-storm profile on radar. 28.8 and ZR. Slowly rising now. 28.9
Bout 40 minutes or so from the big show. I'll let you guys down east know what's upstream. Temp hanging out at 26 for a while.
just north of gainesville ga currently moderate rain and holding steady at 31.1 i think you guys are on track for steady zr as well unfortunately

At least 6" of snow on the ground in Greencastle, PA along I-81...grauple falling from the sky right now. 01-25-26 @ 14:28 eastern time.

I finally got to 20
Rapid pressure fall over the past couple of hours, too. 29.79 inches of mercury. 29 and moderate ZR. No sleet.
ZR now as a little pocket of precip moves through.

From 29 to 32 now in cumming. Seems like the west edge of the wedge isn’t holding, at least
Unsure what it is doing out there now. Hear a little bit of sleet, rest is liquid. Temps are right at 32, so I am still guessing ZR.

pine trees really developing a glaze here in DT Cumming. It wasn’t too bad earlier, slight glaze, but now the ice is pretty heavy on them

heavy precip rates can mix down warmer air aloft...plus the temp of the rain drops themselves can make a difference if they are warmed up a lot aloft.

my temp has dropped back down a couple of tenths too. 25.3 on the elevated sensor and 26.3 on the other. Thicker cloud cover from the heavy band of precip would be my guess. gotten a bit darker outside.

Thickest freezing drizzle/mist I have seen so far here. Really hope this line is sleet primarily because it is an absolute tundra outside.

I went outside to check my tree branches for ice accretion and I still had pixie dust falling.

32° on the nose. Steady freezing rain - not moderate or hard. Not seeing any sleet at the moment. Also not seeing any melting in the trees, where the ice is getting a little thicker.

Im not sure anymore just had a heavier echo move through here even with my 925 at like 46 it's still all sleet. I guess the enhanced waa as that line approaches may be just enough to wreck our sleet soundings

Sister in law is reporting snow near Piedmont!
In the southern piedmont the conditions have changed a lot since this early am. Light RZ and drizzle has turned everything into a block of ice. Trees (top down) starting to accumulate quickly/sag.
