Final check for me for tonight…maybe: several 32-33’s closer to the city now, 34 probably near me based on wunderground. Plus with me having briefly opened the window, I may have heard a few tiny crunches, but then again, I may just be absolutely LOSING it mentally right now.

If precip were actually oriented at me, we’d be toast. It’s not though, so it does look like the failure mode of choice is to stay high and dry.

Edit: Good luck to everyone to my north.

I always keep up with the highest place in metro Atlanta, the ridge that is considered the most southern Blue Ridge mountain in the chain. Burnt Mountain down to Mt. Oglethorpe, 3200'. Besides being the highest point in the metro area, its at the bottom of the V for CAD and benefits from northwest flow. The ridge is currently in the low 20s with ZR.

30.9 in South Forsyth. East of Alpharetta. Bit of glaze on the elevated surfaces. That batch of precip heading this way might slide south of me, but if it doesn’t this is gonna be a long night

Just hit 32 up here in Modoc. There is a light mist showing up on car but its not frozen yet. I keep going outside every few minutes to check for freezing bc I am that kinda dork.

Currently at 34.8 in Dallas and noticed getting NNE winds at 5-8 MPH appears the CAD is progressing SE thru Bartow County and Cherokee slightly ahead of schedule will see if drop to freezing over next hour or 2
FYI, dewpoints have now started falling with the temps, not sure what changed, but it may actually get below freezing out your way.
32.4/30.9

Is anyone worried that much of ATL doesn’t warm back above 32 between the expected two rounds of precip tomorrow?
We are now approaching the freezing mark with a giant slug of moisture incoming. The air is certainly not dry in our neck of the woods.

Yeah, even in my younger days, I don’t know if whether I’d be out this late…although I say this and I think I was playing in some snow late at night in college one time, so maybe I would if I wasn’t with my parents, have many cats around, etc…

I guess I’ll be up, quite possibly at 7 (though too early for what I’m doing atm, I’d love to be able to sleep longer) hoping to see a glaze, but not any worse impacts. Shrug.

Hope for the best for those to my north.

Holy crap. We’re getting the shattered sleet dendrites Eric Webb was referring to. Never thought I’d see it cold enough to do that here during a storm. Like powered sugar. All roads and non grass white now.

15 degrees lol.

Same thing over here as well. It looks like shards of glass reflecting in our floodlight

And just ticked to 32.7. With some precip inbound. But betting it passes south of me. I’m not mad about missing zr. Hard to tell, but may not hold true all night.
