Site News I need your opinions and votes!

This question is asking you how you guys want the home page of the site to work. Right now, when you come to the site, you are taken to a small list of threads and you will see what has posts since your last visit etc.

This would be the old way: https://southernwx.com/community/forums/-/list which basically listed the actual forums like 'weather, tropical weather, news, help, support, etc
 
Thanks guys. It's looking like most like it how it is, or either way. We'll keep it the same for now!

I like the old way, so I simple make that my bookmark and go straight to it. I hardly ever type in the address bar. That works fine for me.

Okay, I will update the colors of the icons and things soon so it matches the Southern Weather v2.0 theme.
 
Okay, the colors on the icons should be updated now for those that like to use the main forum index page. :)

I plan on finishing up the majority of Southern Weather 2.0's theme today and pushing it to everyone!

Great job on the site Shawn! There is something that I've been wondering about so I figured I'd ask about it. Why are all the Pinned threads not at the top? I don't know much about forums but isn't that what the Pinned function does?

The way the page is setup right now, is that people are welcomed to the homepage with the new threads/latest posts/etc. The pinned threads are listed correctly on the main forum like so: https://southernwx.com/community/forums/general-weather.4/

This poll was made to see if people wanted it back to the old way, and it seems we have more support to keep things how they are. If you want to get to a list of the main forums, you can click "Forum List" on the top navigation.

Since we have the capability for themes now, is it possible to make a dark theme? I'd be happy to help.

Its not as simple through Xenforo. There''s custom CSS for elements that don't have identifiers in the standard coloration settings etc, weird names, mediaquery styling for other devices etc.
 
Shawn,
I keep flipping from the old theme to the new one and can't decide which I like better ... in other words, both are great and thanks for the pleasing options! Guess I'll go with mood and weather - blue or black ... :cool:
