Tropical Hurricane Isaias

Western part of the island is the worst. Mandatory evacuations for that section, National Guard is here now.
Thank you. We finally got a hold of some friends that live on the island and they went to check on the house for us. Only lost a couple pieces of siding and the house didn’t flood. “The Lazy Turtle” Bar and Restaurant across the street from of us and on the beach front took heavy damage and did flood.

Saw lots of tornado damage on my drive up to VA Beach. Suffolk is where I saw the most notable damage .

Officially post tropical

What a ride from the struggle as it raced across the Caribbean then blowing up near Hispaniola then weakening in the Bahamas lol definitely a strange one

And the name was a source of constant entertainment

Does anyone think Isaias will be retired or not? It only got to cat 1 but was pretty significant for some.
I’d say not a chance. There have been lots of storms worse than this that never got retired.

Bertie county tornado EF-3 with a max path width of 600 yards. A serious WTF tornado for a tropical system
