These values are the arithmetic mean of all forecasted totals posted in that thread.

With the storm still going after midnight, we most likely won’t have final reported snow totals until Monday morning

Here are the reported snow totals:

Columbia, SC (CAE): 2.8
Charlotte, NC (CLT): 11.4
Raleigh, NC (RDU): 2.9
Greenville, NC (GREENVILLE COOP): 8.5

So we have a bit of controversy at Greenville. I said if the COOP site reported, that's the value we would use, and I don't want to go against my word on that. However, they are showing 0.0 precipitation after midnight on 2/1 and "M" for snowfall (missing data). Also, 8.5 isn't representative of other values reported in that area. Our backup plan that we settled on for Greenville if the COOP site didn't report was to take the average of @WeatherNC (12 7/8) and @Downeastnc (14.5) reported totals, which would be 13.7.

Let's give it one more day and see if the GREENVILLE COOP site makes any adjustments to the data (probably not) and go from there. Controversy
