Misc General Banter Thread

It's actually wild to see 10 out of the last 11 months above normal here....it hasn't stopped yet and certainly won't this month

I wonder if we'll ever see us have 10 out of 11 months below normal...

Man its disappointing to have basically a true 0 for this wet period. Its about to get hard to get consistent/widespread rain chances unless this pattern drops a mcs but that's probably not until late next week

We just went August-February consecutively BN here in SC/NC so it's possible.

Once we get past 2030 and normals rise even further, that will be your best chance! Hopefully the normals rise a lot and make it easier to be BN. You just need some patience lol.

This was talked about early in the year but I see there's firm dates now. Gonna be up poop creek here on the east coast if there's a Gulf hurricane impacting oil production/refined product. This refinery provides fuel not just for the northeast but for those of us within reasonable distance to Wilmington at certain times. It's why when the Colonial Pipeline hack happened we still had fuel in NESC/SENC.

Even if there are no storms impacting production it's still going to cause prices to rise even more.

Leaves are starting to fall, the days are becoming noticeably shorter, and the sun angle is getting much lower. Also I’m seeing some 60s for lows in the extended forecast in parts of Georgia. Fall is definitely getting closer.

Omaha: Here working an event. Fans scattered just in time. This state gets some proper storms ! Just as the poop was starting to hit

A couple of my trees' leaves are turning yellow as well. We're slowly inching closer.

@SD Are you ready for the new angier interchange?! nc 210 and nc 55 are going to look different next summer. now you have to turn right and then left and then ANOTHER right to continue onto 210! 😠 NCDOT shouldve converted this into a diamond interchange.

They have a couple of these type of intersections near Youngsville and Louisburg. They're stupid.

Yeah, it looks like we are going to be making up for that bizarre monster CAD scenario from last August in BIG TIME fashion this year, sigh. If what's forecasted verifies, it might end up being even hotter for August then it was for July.

If I knew my back could handle it, I'd attempt to go back to the Jocassee Gorges area myself on this, alas, it probably can't (I wound up not driving back in July).

Not sure why they have a lot of high end cars and trucks in Iowa?? I mean, before you have it paid for, it’ll have rust holes all over!!IMG_6201.jpegIMG_6221.png

Can those planes that were making it rain every weekend and ruining everyone's summer please come back

Cut the grass today. Going off memory I think I've cut 7 or 8 times since that first cut in March to knock down the weeds. Pretty crazy real world impact of the drought. By this time next week the shorter days will have the growth rate slowing down and even if we get more rain it won't need much cutting.

Looking in the trees I see zero acorns.
