My word. That's crazy!Icon says it will be a warm torso, not just a nose. That warm layer is nearly 55 degrees F! Falling in to a thin layer of 25. I don't even think that water would freeze anywhere, too warm.View attachment 186275
that's a clown map for the books20" may be enough to shut my kids up. They always complain about not having a big snow they can remember.

AIGFS realizing how CADs work.It appears the AIGFS is still attending classes.
That would be a roof collapsing event for some older, less maintained structures. If that were to happen, I would be very careful inside low-slope structures of age.Probably the best I've seen for my area.
Just informed my parents. Murphy is gonna be buzzing like aIf you need to make a store/fuel run. Now is the time. Neighborhood message boards are starting to light up. Gonna get ugly here mid to late week.
1993 took out a lot of roofs up in my area. I hope they updated the codes since then. I'm in construction and I have seen a lot of added snow load drawings lately but they only seemed to appear a couple years ago. That would be a roof collapsing event for some older, less maintained structures. Weather station batteries are charging, so is my WR120. Charging up everything. Trying to purchase a UPS/Mini Power Station before storm. If you need to make a store/fuel run. Now is the time. Neighborhood message boards are starting to light up. Gonna get ugly here mid to late week.
We aren't really buying all these pumped up clown maps are we?
I am just a natural half glass full guy.We know where you stand, Tiger.
Same. I'm in commercial roofing. I don't think the snow load calcs were in many pre-2005 building plans. I certainly see it now. Lowe's hired roofers to remove snow in New England, regularly, from these kind of storms.1993 took out a lot of roofs up in my area. I hope they updated the codes since then. I counted about 3 members with similar depictions to the op. Saw about half dozen with mostly rain, warmer, with a surface low in middle AL, too.GEFS still looks relative to the operational since the latter still has another 12 6-12 hours of precip to go.
