Not going to lie I will be a little disappointed if I miss a storm when I’m on my cruise from the 4th-10th. But if that’s what it takes to break the curse then I’m all in! Even if I don’t see it lol

Small world..... I worked remote and some onsite for National Fruit for a number of years right there in Winchester. I was there during one of the 2010 snowstorms. Unbelievable..... we had to shovel off the roof of the plant due to the weight.

I love it during the in-between because the good snow is just soft enough to be great. It will be in rough shape in a few days, but luckily they can recover quick.

Natural gas is at highs of the night so far. If it looked like the cold was going away, NG wouldn’t be up 3% and especially with that after the best day of the year (up 11%). These are people with lots of $ on the line. If things looked like they were turning back warm, they’d be heading for the exits rapidly!

With that being said, the 0Z GEFS isn’t as cold as the very cold 18Z. But that’s not a surprise after such a cold run. This one is still mainly cold through 228. We’ll see how it warms up the rest of the run. Even if warmer than the amazing 18Z, I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on that.

Edit at 1:09AM EST: In the interest of being forthright, NG has fallen back pretty sharply due to the not as cold 0Z GEFS as it lost that 3% (that it had gained on the colder 18Z GEFS) just since I posted the earlier portion of this post 45 minutes ago. But remember that it was up 11% yesterday and 14% as of 45 minutes ago.

Edit 1:55 NG ended up hashing a total fall back of 4% on the combo of not as cold 0Z GEFS and EPS. However, NG has since bounced back up over half of that 4% fall back.

Go somewhere besides the south and find snow instead of dropping to your knees to beg for it. Cause around here that's exactly what you gonna have to do. Wishcasting your life away over snow around these parts 🤣

I try to respect everyone by putting these things in the banter thread for the most part. That’s what it’s for. Idk what else to tell you man.

The stock market and model output is a new one for me but very interesting. We’ve got to absolutely have EVERY odd in our favor to get our snow and we will get it!!

Just to clarify, that’s the natural gas mkt, not the stock mkt.
 
So I have a question for a friend. If said "friend" is 1 hour northwest of Baltimore, for Christmas, and that "friend" is following another forum and Mid Atlantic sub. Is that considered "cheating". TIA 🤣 #maybeAsnowStorm

Nah, I follow that forum sometimes too. Lots of banter to filter though, but there’s some knowledgeable posters there too. Get your weather fix wherever you can.

Too warm to go walking here. Im surprised we’re not under a Heat Advisory.
 
Gonna be nice here (upper 60s maybe touching 70 away from the coast) until we hit the wedge freezer on Friday. Enjoy it!

Yeah, Northern and NW Virginia have gotten some truly huge snowstorms the last 30 years or so.
