Misc General Banter Thread

Nah. Too cold. I will let everyone know when I finally get moved. I should be out of here by the end of the month.
You know, its been so cold lately in Illinois I thought maybe I moved too far North. But I went outside a little earlier at sunset and it was so beautiful with snow everywhere and it just stays on the ground forever here.

This is unusually cold though. Even in Illinois its not normally this cold in Early December !

You're absolutely right! It should still be a high around 41 right now. We haven't been anywhere near that lately. 4 below the other night and another sub zero low predicted by this weekend with highs of 10 and 12.
It makes me wonder whether December will end up being the coldest month of winter in the Midwest this year. Wouldn't surprise me if January ends up being warmer than December.

We got got…again. 🤦‍♂️

Won’t fall for that again.

It's what i was worried about last night when things were ticking favorably. This happens all the time. Things look good 24-36 hours out with these marginal setups, and then they fall apart coming down the home stretch.

Yeah, for sure. Oh well. Hopefully we get a pattern shuffled and see what January brings. We know how Feb works out in Nina’s.

Is Charlotte snow climo really that much better than North Georgia ? Charlotte is lower in elevation right ?
Depends on what you define as N GA, but for similar elevation areas (ATL vs CLT), Charlotte is just closer to the cold source and will have more opportunities on average.

Banter only lol

CLT itself is only 750’ I think. Go about 30-35 miles North we’re around 950’ then up towards Troutman / Statesville is where 1000 starts

Most of Gaston County north of 74 and west of 321 is over 1000’.

THE GFS IS REAL

THE EURO IS OVERHYPED

THE HRRR NEEDS TO CALM DOWN

SHORT-RANGE WOBBLES ARE A TEST OF FAITH

MODEL CONSENSUS IS NOT A COMMANDMENT

UPDATES EVERY SIX HOURS KEEP US HUMBLE

AND THE GFS SHALL PREVAIL WHEN ALL OTHERS FAIL

We will be ok we got this. Probably not. But we will bounce back. Not really though. I doubt it. But probably. Wait what.

Well there’s always 2050

I am going to do for yall what someone once did for me - read WAY more and post WAY less until you are ready to contribute.

If this does fail maybe people will stop acting like the mjo is the end all be all of all weather. I mean it's clearly not helping anyone below NC anytime soon and out here we've lost all the moisture

But literally it's December 8th.... Winter hasn't even started

Man.. Was getting excited Saturday with the trends for this upcoming weekend with my trip to the Smokies. Now we've lost the trough digs. Sucks.
