first off, i take no sides. i just read quickly over the recent posts and mainly quoted the ones that were trying to call the site, staff, moderation out.

The poster 1300m won't be returning. The forum isn't looking for a professional meteorologist who can accurately forecast (speaking of cowards, who was too scared to enter the snowfall contest and take me on like a man last winter?), that's why they keep you around, to provide inaccurate long range hopium. we do always say that our readers should always get their weather news, alerts, and other warnings from an official source.
we don't sell a service here, to have meteorologists etc on board for a professional forecast package.
if we did want to have professional quality posts that were meant to base your long-term plans on, we would.
it's not really about keeping anyone around because they post against or for other's weather wishes.
we have plenty of horrible post/posters here, especially in the busy months during events.

Mods - if you got rid of this clown, you'd get more mets to come in here. As it is, who wants to deal with this petulant, childish behavior? The forum is great, and it's pretty sad y'all let one poster hold the entire forum's potential back.

the site staff doesn't really care about a weird personal vendetta against each other.
again, we aren't in the business of providing accurate forecasts for people to base their lives and plans on, so i think the average poster who's never taken a meteorology course has the same right as someone who has, to express their opinion even if others think it's wrong
Just a note moving forward - a real scientist (or even man, for that matter) wouldn't be scared of competing ideas if they actually had confidence in their own take. Keep that in mind the next time

never be allowed. It is disrespectful, disruptive and inappropriate. Real people don't behave this way - it's also why this individual couldn't get a job anywhere remotely close to his home because he burned every bridge from here to Narnia.
we aren't control freaks who just ban people for disputes outright. it actually takes a lot for us to actually ban someone.
perhaps you could start a community or group that you can foster an environment you like better?
This is the wrong battle being fought in this Winter Battle Zone thread and thus is badly disrupting the flow ITT. Would it be possible for this battle of the two pro mets to be moved into its own āBattle of the metsā thread or better yet into PM?

i suggest everyone read and take it at face value, put the posters on ignore, or even have a laugh like I do.
Not the way it should be. Again, where is the moderation. If this is going to be the Wild West I can play that too but it wonāt be pretty when I start pointing out all the asinine posts made including by their beloved LR expert.
the moderation is here. we are just letting it play out for entertainment. our members are more than free to ignore it, laugh at it, or even get involved at this point.
