Misc General Banter Thread

94L is going out to sea or will stall just offshore. Upstate SC will not get 1 drop out of it. If it does not rain here tonight, we are done for a very long time. The big weather story in the southeast west of I-77 for the next 2 months will be a major drought.

You are right. I don't see any rain in the forecast the next 2 weeks. At least we did get some good rain yesterday so maybe that will help the drought a little.

No rain in sight after this weekend. The tropical stuff will continue to trend off to the east and the drought will be on in full force. I would not shocked at all to see the 90's back for many of us in about 10 days either.

It’s really hard to get 90s in October. I think Atlanta has hit 90 about 20 times in recorded history.

I was told to expect the Cat 4 kill shot right up Charleston Harbor. What happened?

In all seriousness we do need rain but could do without terrible flooding. We shall see what happens. I can’t wait for the day our government gets serious about treating social media companies like the modern day utilities they are. The amount of misinformation to make a buck is absurd. With the ubiquity of social media apps the barrier to entry is not all that different than the big broadcast networks we all used to gather around.

No idea what the tropics will do, but I think most of us miss with rainfall through the weekend. The dry weather rolls on.

No rain here tonight and not expecting any anytime soon. Maybe after Thanksgiving.

Your area still has a chance. We are done with rain where I am for probably 2 months.
I have an idea; how about if you state the same nonsense over and over, as many different ways as you can think of, and see if it actually changes anything.

Tonight is certainly a lost cause, and the NAM says tomorrow will be dry too.
You're just being ridiculous, especially trying to say it won't rain again till Thanksgiving. But even if that were to happen, most of the crop growing is done, and everything will be going dormant or will freeze over the next few weeks anyway so it won't matter. Just enjoy a dry, low humidity fall with crackling leaves and less weather delays. You can find some joy!

Just ask people in the mountains how well that worked out in 2016. And yes, we went from mid September that year and in 2001 until after Thanksgiving without 1 drop here so it can certainly happen again. I doubt we get our 1st freeze anytime soon either. Climate change is real.

Other models trending drier too and out to sea. I said about a month ago that we would see no significant landfalling tropical system this year and I certainly am standing by it. Chantal will be all the US gets this year.
