Wintry February 7-8 Winter storm

Here's a condensed summary of the snow reports everyone on this forum (& americanwx) posted earlier today. If you would like to report what you saw in your backyard, please don't hesitate to add to this extensive list, it's very slim pickings for snowfall reports in NW Georgia & extreme NE Alabama right now from what I can tell.

Even if FFC doesn't release a public information statement or total map for GA later, this should be a nice starting point to make a big multi-state map once CoCoRaHS reports trickle in.

I'm hoping to make this look pretty sometime tomorrow, any new report(s) will help immensely.

Thank you for doing this! FFC tweeted tonight that they are working on compiling totals for their coverage area, so hopefully that will be out soon.

Looks like the Triangle area is sneaking in its 3rd trace snow/sleet event of the year, reports of rain/snow in Wake Forest, RDU International, Durham, Rolesville, & Youngsville.

I still have snow on the ground at my location. There was some snow melt today as the high here was 37. The fog is really thick out right now. Temp is back down to 32.

Yea we are at freezing now, visibility is at .41. My last measurement was around 7 and I still have 2.5in. Lost .75 total or probably most likely do to compaction.

Still ridiculously foggy here, maybe a couple hundred feet of visibility. 33.1

The hardest snow fell in the last 30 minutes of the storm. Had to be half dollar+ sized flakes. Can't remember seeing them that large.

It's going to get dangerous on the roads tonight across parts of North GA. Freezing fog is possible as well as black ice.
