Doesn't look very impressive to me. 1-2" for some areas with 2-3" in other areas. I guess after seeing 8" earlier this month, anything less will be a let down.

If flakes at least fly on Christmas that's a win for me. If we see accumulation that's a bigger win. We got a great storm, and I think that was our big one for the year, so anything else is a bonus.

I wonder if some of the GEFS members are still on the warm train and with some it's so cold it's just dry.
Seeing flakes fly on Christmas is a Big win to me.

Thats an average of many members. A half to one inch mean for anybody down here is pretty solid.

I have a feeling that the same area's that got the snow from the last winter event will score again from this upcoming possible Christmas event. Law of attraction, synchronicity.
It's always day 10 or further!
Also, looking at those GFS vs Euro scores at 500mb, I'd expect the GFS to bw worse, at least in the last 7 days. It's not absolutely horrible, lol.
and E11 is a nightmare
Cold air is in the wrong place for us. That's ok. We'll score on the next one

I wouldn't say this run looks better for cold later in the SE US, especially given the ridge over Alaska is a little weaker & further west this run through day 5...

SER is more east and weaker, and the cold core is a couple hundred miles east at day 6.

Frontal passage is a little faster thus far, still warm in the SE US thru Christmas Eve
