Well, I’m going to defend them here for a second. Our past few winters have been so anemic I can hardly blame people for getting overly excited. It’s the holidays, people want cold and snow. So, when it finally delivers folks are going to be ecstatic. If we wind up getting a big one. I think people will calm down after that.yeah, unfortunately the yappers win sometimes
Agreed. While that genius was saying that, I was saying this yet he gets the snow and I don't. I'm really sick and tired of tracking everyone else's snow. This makes me want to rage quit this hobby all together
Euro continues to show how close the 12/2-12/3 potential is. Just a little more tilt and digging and we could have a light snow event east of the mountains.

It's funny you mention that, I'm actually going to Boston 12/7 - 12/15. When I booked the flight about 5 days ago, I thought I was going to be golden. Now, it looks like even they won't snow. It's hard to make this up lol.Take a mountain trip with me and @LickWx. We planning it tag along with us

It's gotten less fun the last few years not sure if it's me or the weather. I do know that when the most exciting thing in a long time is a high in he 40s in early December can't help but think we've about bottomed out.I just told someone 2 hours ago this hobby isn't for the faint of heart after we were talking about flipping to a stormy pattern and now it's going to warmup
I mean I'll probably see snow in Colorado soon but around here yikes

The only thing we have going for us is the models are way more wrong than they are right out at day 15ish. They torch us as of right now, so the picture can only improve from here on in. It cant get much uglierLooks like we Punt the rest of Dec and Pray for a good Jan![]()
Actually, details are not known but there are some very good long range forecasters that can get rather accurate at that range. The only thing we have going for us is the models are way more wrong than they are right out at day 15ish. Yes that's how meteorology worksNot going to get out of the 30s Friday and it's dry as a bone. Precip comes next week when it's in the 50s and 60s. Seems the only way we can get precip is with a warm front.

Me too!! Wanna go gangsta on winter
Fifth grade science stumped you too huh ?
i think it's the weather, when there's a credible storm within 5 days every good model suite is pure dopamine, we haven't really had that in 3 yearsIt's gotten less fun the last few years not sure if it's me or the weather. Funny how all your favorite winters are in the last 10 years. You must have a short memory.i will say this, my favorite winters ever were 13-14, 14-15 and 17-18 and those winters seemed dead in the water in raleigh through christmas (i know that early dec storm existed in 2017 but i remember that as doing food delivery in 33 and rain with occasional sleet haha)
15-16 we had that horrible christmas day with dewpoints in the upper 60s and we all know how that ended.i will say this, my favorite winters ever were 13-14, 14-15 and 17-18 and those winters seemed dead in the water in raleigh through christmas (i know that early dec storm existed in 2017 but i remember that as doing food delivery in 33 and rain with occasional sleet haha)
not everything has to be an outside thoughtFunny how all your favorite winters are in the last 10 years. You must have a short memory.
