Maybe this will actually produce...

Saturday Night
A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday
A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Have been kinda toying around with the idea of doing an at least 40 minute outdoor thing this weekend after I traveled to see family this week, but we're dying here, I'll take anything.

Gotta also add, the Chattanooga forecast (my mom's family is actually scattered in NW GA) really disappointed me when I saw it on Friday and saw the temps pop back up after a day or two of cool...I just shook my head at seeing that knowing it'll be warmer here but I guess it gets you used to summer.

39 here this AM.

After cleaning the AC condensers on Saturday, the wife has the heat on again.

absolute banger of a rad cooling night. siler city and mt. mitchell just 0.1F apart for coldest spot in the state this morning (29.8 and 29.7). 33 in morganton and 42 in hickory.

in the upstate, 33 in pickens, 44 in clemson, 46 in greenville, 41 at GSP, 37 at my place

boring week ahead. weekend rain looks meh

46.3°F low this morning after a late-morning high of 79.1°F yesterday. Places just inland have dropped into the 30s, this is too cold for this time of year, and of course there was virtually no rain to go along with this cold front.

Had frost. Not sure how much Garden damage has been done. This has been a brutal spring trying to get going without rain, low DPs, dry wind. Then the kick to the groin this morn and probably again tomorrow a.m.

Robert had a great writeup and dissection for the rest of spring summer. Not good and in line with a lot of thought pattern on here. Im with him on a warm winter inbound . At least we will solve the drought pattern though.

Avg last frost here is April 20th. Should have known better than to jump the gun. Some years you can get away with it.

There was a low of 43 at KSAV, it’s coldest since way back on March 19th, while KSVN had 47. The forecasted lows had been only down to the low 50s. This was the largest morning low colder than forecast bust in quite a long time in this area. Dewpoints of 37 along with light winds gave it that opportunity.

KATL has a shot at driest or 2nd driest April ever

Currently .13” for the month

Driest was .49” in 1986. Probably not gonna beat that given the forecast for rain early next week.

2nd driest is 1992 at 1.03”. That might be able to be beat

That year was incredible. We would have really been in trouble if things had not changed in August. That was the year GA and the Carolinas made national headlines because of how hot and dry it was.

Wish these clouds would hang in for tonight.

If Raleigh is right on the wind, should avoid frost/ freeze tonight.

"Clear, with a low around 35. Northwest wind 5 to 13 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph."
