CSU Machine Learning Probability showing quite a large area with a significant risk area. Not too much of a difference from the current SPC risk area either.

Gotta love the boldness from BMX here lately! ? They got out ahead of SPC last week to!
Large hatched area on Friday stretching from Iowa down to AR, N MS, NW AL.
Could get sketchy up here Friday afternoon

Just my curiosity but what has changed that we don’t really get severe thunderstorms here in NC now like we did in the 90’s? Not to say that it doesn’t happen but the frequency of a good thunderstorm isn’t as prevalent as I remember in my teens.
Two separate areas with heightened severe potential with 15% tornado probabilities in both moderate risk areas now.

Large moderate risk area now from Iowa down to N MS.
Latest run of the HRRR has storms developing as far south as Texas by late afternoon.
Those storms in iowa on the HRRR, look very ominous! Full sun now in Dubuque and you can feel the muggy!

That's really concerning. Looks like a real potential for a large severe outbreak. NC looks to be under the gun tomorrow, but only a level 1 risk.
High risk for IA/IL coming…
PDS tornado watch coming for Arkansas as well.
While not relevant to this region, there will also be a high risk area coming for IA/IL.
Not sure there's ever been 2 non-contiguous high risk areas.
EDIT: Apparently 4/14/12 started off that way before the high risk areas were merged into one

Towers starting to pop now. Only impediment I can see is the clouds maybe slowing supercell development down a little or the storms bowing out.
