Severe 3/27-3/31 2025 Severe

Why are models and NWS seemingly always overplaying severe threat here in north/central GA? Whether storms roll through at 3am or 2pm.. they are always underdone. It makes people not trust the data and forecasts, until one day something big does hit that they brushed off.

Definitely juicing up a little and about to head into the south metro suburbs

On the next refresh it looks like these two warnings have subsided. There's a new tornado warning for Southeast Alabama.

Well, that was interesting. Very windy but no easterly component to the wind, so, not sure we were very close to any tornado that might have formed. It was very turbulent for sure. No hail, heavy rain and cloud to ground lightning.

Sun has been going in and out all afternoon. Up to 78 now. Wonder if it will be enough to get the spark needed for storms.

Pretty good one down toward Honea Path. Might present an issue at some point IMG_2473.jpeg

Brick has alluded to this phoenomenon. Rarely fails. Initially I had thought maybe it was just his area in Wake Forest, but it seems more widespread.
