I could live with this. I was scheduled to pick some sod up tomorrow but with the extreme cold expected Saturday night I'm holding off another week.

Yes, it has many times.Hugging the RDPS. Don't know that I've ever seen Kuchera kicking out more than 10:1.

I’m surprised that a winter storm watch hasnt been issued for my area considering almost all the cams are now showing winter storm warning criteria accumulation. They must be taking into effect the baking ground temps

They are optimistic there is melting before the afternoon rush yeah we'll see. Main window for snow is before lunch so the drive to school is gonna be the fun one

This is trying so hard to suck me in and be disappointed as it gets stuck to the west but seeing a 2 inch mean over me and the gfs southern shift is tempting.
I’ll be surprised if far NW GA isn’t under a WWA within the next 12 hrs given recent short range/global model trends.
Dare I say it’s not out of the realm of possibility ATL could see a repeat of the January 29th event for a quick dusting depending on how quick temps crash and how good the -sn rates are. At least FFC covered their bases when they issued that SWS across most of N. GA. This being overnight Friday night into Saturday morning certainly helps out too.
EDIT: FFC mentioned issuing a Wind Advisory, but also said some localized areas could be upgraded to a High Wind Warning.

Agree. I've been suckered in too many times the last couple of years. The latest model runs are trying to sucker me in. They definitely look better further south and over this way.
Latest RAP (10:1 and Kuchera)
I remember March 15th 2009, Birmingham had their only snowfall of the season.. maybe that will be similar to this weekend.
