I remember forecasts in feb 2015 calling for -2 , even on TV a few days out only to moderate to 7 degrees . We narrowly avoided it, Roanoke though tied its all time record low for the month if I’m not mistaken .

Meh don't ignore that we got to what 22 or 24 with full sun in Feb? That ---- is impressive

I bet @metwannabe has some awesome cards from back when baseball first started
I went to the riverside mill antique place near where he lives and saw lots of old baseball cards there . I believe it ! Not too mention the fact he has been around since before baseball was a sport ...

I forgot that was under full sun actually ! Yeah that’s incredible! With clouds would have probably been teens .

So how cold did you get in 2010, 2014, 2015, and 2018? I see no reason or evidence we can’t get cold lol.

Those years are irrelevant . Thing don't work the same as they used to. 2009/10 and 2010/11 had major blocking in Greenland. 2013/14 and 2014/15 ad a strong +PNA/-EPO and same with 2018(which was another heart break for the Midlands when considering that the Coast of SC(except for Myrtle Beach) and even Coastal GA had a major winter storm. I have learned throughout the 2010s that patterns that used to work very well for us just a few years ago simply doesn't anymore. For example, Blocking doesn't really work for us anymore and hasn't since 2010/11. And like I said, the -EPO/+PNA combo really doesn't happen anymore neither. Barring some major changes(much less SE ridging, the Indian and western Pacific Ocean cools off very significantly, etc), the eastern SE is probably screwed for the 2020s winter weather wise.

I got to watch my Bucs win the Super Bowl at home in person. I made a deal with the Devil. This is all my fault y’all.

We had a solid -NAO for two months and lost it at the wrong time. Just a lousy break. Blocking worked in 2014 and 2017.

I'm sure Columbia is a great town, but my God the weather there is just awful. Hot in summer, no snow in winter.

Not a fan of Columbia actually I lived in a small town called Elgin South Carolina. Just outside of Columbia. Live there from
Birth to about 12yrs old before moving to liberty sc in the upstate. I must say the upstate is a much better place.

The scenery in the upstate is certainly better than in Columbia. If I were to live in SC it would either be in the upstate or near the coast.
