Since the super bowl has become an event I'm sure the ratings won't take a huge dive but I could see this being the lowest in a decade.

Not much interest outside of the NE. Not many of the folks wanting to see the pats lose will jump on the eagles bandwagon like they did the falcons. I could easily check out on this one and be good

Nashville, after picking up about 1 inch from the Friday event, picked up about 2 inches from the clipper event last Tuesday. Not an epic event, but enough to qualify as significant, however.

Don't even get me started with Coach Fox. Pulls a guy not one minute into the S. Carolina game last weekend. Didn't see him rest of game. His rotation of players is suspect. He's not the reason we've gotten a few better players last few years. I'd rather let him go and see what Coach Hayes has in him.

Pats vs Eagles was the best possible outcome imo. Will have the best game, with the better teams. Jags vs Vikings would have had much worse ratings imo. Idk tho

I probably would have to be hospitalized simply due from excitement if this had even a remote chance of occurring.
I was rooting for Jags and Vikings. Neither team has been in the Super Bowl in many years. I just think its nice to see new teams in the Super Bowl instead of the same teams every year. Plus the Vikings would have been playing at home in the Super Bowl which I dont think has ever happened.
In my opinion, true football fans would have preferred the Jags vs Vikings because its a better matchup, defensively. Two young teams trying to win their first Super Bowl. With that said, it would also be a ratings hit (nightmare) for sponsors & NBC since the Patriots pull in so much.
Patriots are going to dominate the Eagles unless their QB has the night of his life (like tonight).

I would have much preferred the Jags vs. Vikings. I won't even be watching the Super Bowl this year. I don't need to see Tom Brady win yet another Super Bowl (unless, like you said, the Eagles QB has another night of his life).

Last night, they showed a replay of his face/eyes when he threw the TD pass to take the lead. After, idk how many hits, and jags right in his face again, dude didn't even blink all the way through the TD catch.
I really dont want to watch the Super Bowl either. I may watch out of boredom but I am not particularly excited about the game.
I am excited to possibly see the Eagles (who after the QB went down, and they got Foles, who basically retired to come back) pull out a miracle. I mean, it's definitely possible if they play to the calibur they did last night. The Vikings were easily, favorites based on their defense and the Eagles put 38 on them. That's insane!
Usually, I pull for the Patriots; but I am salty AF because the Panthers threw their season away. The Panthers had beaten the Patriots and Vikings in regular season, but kept crapping the bed with the Saints. If Drew Brees is Cam's kryptonite, then the Panthers are in trouble.

This govt. shutdown has shut down many of the sites I cite for analysis of wx history as well as satellites?. Definitely a hindrance.
That really sucks but shouldn't it be back soon? Since the govt is reopening.
personally, glad the Dems and the left in general are finally making a moral stand. GOP is simply on the wrong side of history and morality on corporate taxation/immigration/health care. Sorry, charlies.
