This was especially true in central/eastern NC which did not get any measurable snow from the December 2017 system. Our winter was meh overall before Christmas. We had an active early-mid January with two winter storms and a week of subfreezing temperatures, including our coldest temperature in over a decade (4 degrees F).Maybe in Atlanta, but there was plenty of winter weather in other parts of the southeast in January, March and even April of last winter.
This year, our temperatures have only been slightly below average, but we already have exceeded our average total snowfall for the winter. If we get another winter storm and reach the single digits once I would consider this winter a huge success.
