Anytime at this range temps look iffy you know it isn’t going to end well. Oh well, hopefully we get a better pattern in February.
Why would anyone get excited off the FV3? I get technically, it hasn't been tested. But it looks like it's on crack.
I don't know if I will cliff jump yet. I'll wait until Thursday when it starts to come in.
The clown maps, yes. The surface maps, however, are plausible
There's just not enough cold air. How are you going to get a major winter storm without the cold ?
Sure, but the extreme totals reminds me of what the Canadian use to show, which was a cold bias every run.

Well hey the NAM wasn't far off for last Decembers snow and we all thought it was on crack but nope it was quite decent here at least. I can't believe the 3 feet it shows in NC but temps I can.
Depression has settled in with the other thread. Lol never had a chance anyways here in Columbia. Doesn't snow in hell.
It's early December. It's an El Nino winter. Chances of snow in Early December are already very low in the south but in an El Nino winter it's even lower right ?
Very true, NAM did nail that storm. Maybe the NAM nails this one once in range.

I'm taking a step closer to the cliff on this one. Seems the CAD chances are dropping significantly and the only chance of anything is if the high in the plains is strong enough to push the cold south enough for an overrunning in N GA and AL instead of TN. Unlikely but I can hope.

06z models will stick to their guns
12z Ukie, Icon, GFS, FV3, Euro will come in warmer/north
