We'll see. I'm tired of my every word being dissected and scrutinized by a select group of members when I'm simply here to discuss weather. Wouldn't want to say the NAO is -2 if in fact it was only -1.95. I don't see that treatment towards anyone else, and I don't feel like I deserve it. Not sure how much -- if at all -- I'll be posting this winter, but I'll be watching.

So the Weather Channel is now calling a Snowman a Snowperson. Can't make this up. Mike Seidel called it that on his Twitter and people were angry. Will Carl Parker start calling a male hurricane a Himacane.

Nah, don't let people chase you away, you can just ignore them (which I do with a couple already). That is why I hardly ever even go over to Southeastern anymore. Too many know it all's and a real jerk for a moderator (don't have any of those moderators here) :weenie:
 
I know everyone is obsessed with cold and snow but I would do just about anything to see the sun and temps above 50. I think its been cloudy for at least the last 10 days.

been plenty of sun here and mostly above 50, of course the average high is still in the 60s
 
Looks like January and February for snow as always, might get a surprise in late December but I have my money on Climo. I do like the cool weather, let’s cool the ground temps and remove all the leaves so WHEN is does it looks prettier.
 
So, are we going to talk about winter in the winter thread, and not use the November and December threads? I am confused with all the back and forth.

You and me both. I guess specific threats will go into the Dec thread and overall winter talk goes in the winter thread. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 
Since we’re close to Thanksgiving I just want to say I’m grateful for this site. I’ve been a weather junkie since I was knee high to a grasshopper and thanks to you guys i still have the same interest in weather that I had decades ago. Thank you guys. Now bring on the rain! :(

No. PackBacker went MIA right in the middle of tracking a solid snow event in January of this year. It was the strangest thing. I’m not sure if a moderator banned him or pissed him off or if something else happened to him. He was one of the most knowledgeable weather junkies for North and South Carolina. He was a heat mongerer at times and loved to post red anomaly maps to keep the forum modest

Some people really hate that kind of thing. Posters pounded him about it until he got fed up and left. I think that was what happened.
