29 with IP/ZR 3 KM NAM was colder too. Pockets of ZR into mid afternoon up this way.

All the ice has melted here now, and started when the rain began to let up earlier. Glad the there weren't any major impacts. Just cloudy and cold here now.

Hahahahaha my dad just came in recently from attempting to jog outside, soaked, "insisting that he felt ice hitting him" during an absolute downpour with wind. It's 55 degrees but he insists he felt sleet.
He must have been jogging so fast a meso high developed above his head

Still below freezing here in Marion. 31 and freezing drizzle. Actually seems more icy now than earlier when it was 29.

The HRRR is garbage w/ CAD. 15z run had Burlington for example reaching 42F by 12pm, it's only 33 there right now.

NWS RAH has issued a special weather statement for the razor thin squall line that's entering the far eastern piedmont and the Triangle. Strong wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible, below severe limits but awfully close.

At 225 PM EST, a band of heavy rain was tracking to the east at 40 mph through central North Carolina. Rainfall rates of a quarter to half inch per hour is possible, and this may lead to flooding on streets and in low lying areas. In addition, sudden strong wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible over central North Carolina through 400 pm. Winds recently gusted over 40 mph at the Burlington airport. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville, Cary, Chapel Hill, Goldsboro, Sanford, Henderson, Smithfield and Clinton. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and minor flooding of creeks, streams, and areas of poor drainage. Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution to avoid hydroplaning, especially in urban areas where prolonged heavy rain can quickly lead to flooding.

Our trees are coated but with the temp hovering between 32-33, no road issues. We did have a period of heavy rain at 33 but that has stopped
