Where at? Quit being a tease. 🤣

Reckon it could have been on the other side of Wake?
Looks like maa brier falls so that rotation would have been riding up 540 from like aviation parkway to lumley then glenwood. Looking at it again I'm not certain it didn't have the signage on the front of the office like that one but the detached garage and trees looked similar, apt complexes all look the same these days

Truth. It's all apts, townhomes, and business parks there anyway. I assume no touchdown since we would have heard about it by now. Cool video still.

2.68" for the event ending yesterday. That line of storms moving through Monroe yesterday morning essentially held together for a lot longer that I expected. Some friends in Old Fort/Marion reported that flooding did occur along the Catawba river basin (which is expected). Lake Lure/Bat Cave did flood again - but not close to Helene levels.

10/11/2026 - Current Event: (10.09)

9/27/2024 - Helene (21.82)

I'm seeing upper 30's on almost all physics models for Sun a.m. Not out of question for some ruarl areas to capsize into the low mid 30's with good radiational cooling and get some light scattered frost. Have to see if this holds and what mixing looks like late week etc. But 1st frost may be inbound for some.

The weather over the next 10 days is a harbinger for getting the leaves to change and start dropping. Dry hot days followed up by dry Cool wx.

Oct 13th Fall Foliage report:

Scanning the webcams / thinking about hitting the parkway this weekend so I can get stuck in traffic jam lol. But its kinda looking just meh up there currently. Looks stripped on top of Beech mtn summit cam from the past weekends wind/rain.

26.11 year to date now. No event over 1 inch in over 2 months, no event over 2 inches in 3 months, over 30% of my yearly rain was in July, over 50% between May and July. Doldrums

One last thing this month will be the 4th 5th or 6th (off memory here) in the last 12 with less than 1 inch both sept and Oct will be less than 1.

Yup...you are correct. Here in Brevard we had to go to 6K to get foliage. But, it was stunning.
