Misc This Means WAR

As of Aug 1.. the US military, in the conflict with Iran has expended…

65% of our Patriot missile inventory
40% of our THAAD missile inventory
30% of our Tomahawk Cruise missile inventory
25% of our JASSM missile inventory

This has happened in only 5 months.

A year ago we were told their nuclear program was eliminated.
4 months ago, we were told Iran’s missile capabilities were functionally destroyed and the US had exceeded all of it’s military objectives and had achieved a “total and complete victory”

So why are we still there? Why are we still expending our missiles on a defeated enemy when our stockpiles are running out? China, Russia, and DPRK all know we are in a very vulnerable military position with our depleted munitions

Note that DT admires the leaders of all 3 of these countries. I’m not typically a conspiracy theory kind of poster. And I don’t think this is a conspiracy. But is it possible that this isn’t a coincidence?

Its comical at this point....

After the first plunge, trading came to a standstill from 10:10PM-11PM ET for an unknown reason (circuit breaker halt??). Then it started trading again and immediately plunged another $1.70 to $80.713! This is insane and we can now see it happening in realtime over the weekend thanks to this new exchange:

I think what is most amazing is the price disparity between Oil and gasoline and how it has changed. Around ~2008 when gasoline hit $4 a gallon, oil reached close to $150 a barrel. Then around ~2021 when it hit $4 again, oil was at $120 a barrel and now its the same with oil hanging around $80-90 a barrel.

Now I know its not that simple and other things do this, do that, but I think we all can agree, its more than just supply and demand.
I don't pretend to know much about global oil markets and price mechanisms, but it seems to me it is nothing but manipulation opportunism, and profiteering. Shame on those who are participant.

I know I dont wanna hear oil companies say they cant afford new refineries......its all just massive wealth distribution.

During Q2 of 2026, profits at Exxon more than doubled, while Chevron’s profits more than quadrupled. But while oil companies are raking in profits, ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods warns that US consumers – who have been feeling the pinch of gas prices hovering around $4 per gallon – shouldn’t anticipate relief at the pump anytime soon."I wouldn't hold my breath here in the short term for that," said Woods in a post-earnings conversation with CNBC.

The “Disconnect” at the Gas Pump Even though crude oil prices have retreated from their peak of $126 per barrel earlier in the spring to around $85-$90 per barrel, gasoline prices across the United States remain stubbornly above $4 per gallon .During the July 31 interview, Woods explained that there is a “disconnect” between crude oil prices and what consumers are paying at the gasoline pump, and that this gap is unlikely to close quickly.

The core of his argument centers on global refinery constraints rather than the cost of raw crude itself being the primary driver of elevated fuel prices.

Politics for me has shifted from social issues to an "us vs them" corporate/rich fight. They have their feet on our heads as we try stay afloat all while corporate profits skyrocket.

Remember when trump made big oil big promises

This doesn’t make sense to me because the classic definition of Zionism is simply to be in favor of a Jewish majority state as a safe haven for Jews after many centuries of exile and violence against them. So, how could these Jewish residents of this neighborhood in Jerusalem be anti-Zionist? That means being against the existence of the country they live in! Zionism shouldn’t be considered a bad thing in itself assuming one isn’t anti-Semitic.

Now as far as the Bibi coalition’s way overly aggressive Gazan war tactics (imho) are concerned: if that’s what they oppose, that’s different. I also have opposed them strongly. That’s like someone being strongly against Trump policies. That doesn’t make them anti-American.

Do others here follow what I’m saying?
