Disagree completely. It is us that have become stupid. The real travesty is that we bounce along with the social media goofiness and never seen the gamesmanship underneath.

The world actors have now perfected using social media and now we lag.

I’m not sure how the staunchest supporters of Trump can justify this action. Our military destroyed theirs, but what did we actually accomplish? No regime change, closing of what was an open strait, higher prices, embolden Iran etc….

I’ve supported Trump on issues but this was an absolute blunder and makes us look weak.

Do you want any shot at peace in this world? Not meant to be ugly but some of us are tired of our families losing people to this stupidity. How about let's all put our biases aside and have enough patience to see this unfold. I can GUARANTEE YOU that none of us knows the full story, especially when information is filtered through a corrupt media. Nothing about this makes us look weak. This is how smart people actually fight "conflicts". I keep telling you guys this but few of you care enough to listen. You are going to have to get used to living in a different world that you aren't accustomed to and it isn't going to be easy

Part of my point is why get into a conflict at all? What was the point if all of it?

There's nothing of significance left to unfold at this point. When the Iranians didn't break 100 hours into the campaign and got their continuity government set up, the outcome was clear. There's no military solution to remove the Iranian regime and we darn sure aren't putting capital ships at risk forcing the strait open. Some diplomatic solution will come out of this leaving the Iranians on a path to what is historically their place as the regional hegemon. Their county has suffered quite a bit but in their view it's worth it to come away with what is an unquestioned strategic victory and an elevated global position 10-20 years from now.

I wish that wasn't the case but there's no other way to view it.

This planet needs to decide if we want to continue to hate one another or actually live peacefully with one another. Peace shouldn't be a cliche any longer. The point of all of it will likely become clearer in time but the battle being fought isn't with the Iranian people.
 
I think Trump means it this time cause he threatened to use the "ultimate alternative" if they dont sign the 39th or is this the 40th deal that they have one day to sign or else. Its not every day the president hints at nuking a nation so they best take it seriously.

That just speaks to the weakness of the US position more than anything. The US isn't going to use nuclear weapons in Iran. It's such a non-threat it isn't even worth discussing.
