2013 is the only May Tulsa has recorded snow

And that was until last year also the last ef5 in the US a couple weeks later right down the interstate in Moore

I can't even imagine what that was like

People talk about our weather is weird now haha. They have no idea

Stormy last nightIMG_5543.png

Ha, I can tell y'all as a female, I'm beginning to feel some of the stuff I feel in the summer.

And by that, I mean my hair. I tried my best to wash it and it still feels icky.

Kinda crazy that it's apparently supposed to be much cooler at my travel destination than home (Charleston), but then it makes sense since I'll be on the coast.

Neeeext! What a dud!!
Gonna be a summer-like feel as we head into Memorial Day weekend IMG_5589.png

Shelf waters got so cold this winter (39 degrees off northern SC/southeast NC) it's taking a bit longer than usual to warm up although with this heat it seems we're about average now.

On my way to metro STL. $4.19/NC, $4.69/WV and $3.99/Indiana where I sit in my hotel room. 🙂 We prefer to get almost 8 hours behinds us leaving only 3:30 hours for the morning. Plus we gain an hour.

Man, what a POS
That things in the shop more than my Ford!!
Pic wouldn’t post, but I was referring Reed Timmer and Dominator 3
Has a blown engine now!
That things been in the shop about once a week since Chase season started

12z GFS had a afternoon high around 55 in Georgia on June 2nd. Almost certainly wont happen, but it got me wondering what the coolest June high recorded for ATL is. I was looking alround and couldn’t find anything. Anyone else possibly know? Maybe @GaWx ?View attachment 196081

Yeah, the lowcountry ocean water was still relatively coolish as well. I actually wasn't planning to get in but ended up needing to because I overheated while being made to rush to the boneyard beach.

I even casually brought up Huntington and yeah, I'm on my own on that one if that happens at any time. I suppose I can handle this, I pretty much planned this, and I am in the midst of trying to plan my 3rd-4th trip to southwest NC, 2nd with friends.

Im sorry you got overheated!

Question for y'all in SC that will show that I'm still beaming a bit from going to the lowcountry, though I'm probably not going to go all the way back to Charleston/Edisto.

How do you feel about DIY tubing? Is it possible to find an area in Givhans Ferry State Park where you can do good tubing runs that aren't a full hour or is just going with the tubing service a better idea?

Secondary and close to an hour closer too... is DIY possible in Columbia in the Congaree/Saluda River?

I don't have a tube, but if doing it DIY style is realistically possible in one of these rivers, I might go get one (and if it's a waste of money, I'll wave off my parents and attempt a full short run with one of the tubing services without them coming along). And sadly, tubing in the Savannah River is really not recommended if you're curious.

Rivers down in the lowcounty move realllllllllly slowly so I'm not sure how enjoyable that experience would be.

Saluda Shoals Park near Columbia has a tube rental and pickup program. The water is very cold coming out of the dam so it's nice in summer and moves fairly swiftly. You usually get out before the confluence with the Broad because it's muddy as diarrhea.

Maybe I'm off on this, but I would think real hard about kayaking in the lower part of the state this time of year. I am sure people do it, but unless you have a lot of experience I would think gators could be a real problem.
