This now looks to be a decent to significant event for parts of GA and both Carolinas. Both of those models nail the I-85 corridor.

This is fantastic, a big snowstorm in the Boulder-Denver area that could rival the biggest this season and would be way above their longterm average of 1-2” in all of May! What a weird winter it has been there:

Great weather for May!
Those overnight runs almost seem too good to be true WRT rain totals
not everyone will get plastered but heaviest rain since the mod bust coming for a lot of the board. and midweek... doesn't screw up plans. just what the doctor ordered. don't sleep on the soaking stratoform anafrontal rain that develops after the backdoor front comes in

Can she break the the wall (TN/NC State Line ). So far no dice. I cant remember the last time we had rain over this way. Been multiple weeks

May sun angle doing work on those wet roads despite all that snow. Probably doesn't help it was 75 the other day, either.
The Mets @ Rockies game was postponed due to the May snow accumulations at Coors Field...looks to be frigid there tonight, so wonder if tonight's game is postponed too. Baseball season snow accumulations aren't rare in Denver, it is insanity they don't have a retractable roof. This picture with ugly snow cover desecrating a nice ballpark is hideous.

This one may be going south at the last-minute east of the mountains. The next big batch in MISS and AL will mostly stay south of I-20 I'm afraid. I do not think this weekend will amount to very much either.

Excellent wx forecast over next 7+ days here. Just perfect Highs in upper 60s / low 70's chances of Rain every few days. Gonna Be the best May we have ever had possibly. Despite the drought conditions we started the month off with. Definitely not gonna erase drought. But temp wise and finally getting some rains to come through is Bueno!

I have .59 inches so far even though most of the heavier precipitation has gone to the south of my residence not far from Lake Wheeler in southern Raleigh. I expect totals will pick up this later this morning and afternoon as the actual cold front approaches.
1.66” with a little more on the way. We got split a bit last night.
