Is anyone else getting the feeling that the SPC is playing it very conservative with today's risk due to that Mid-Atlantic storm not panning out as predicted? Today has a high ceiling that could have people unprepared for how intense some of these tornadoes could be.

I feel like TWC has been hyping up the storms all week. With phones and Social media nobody should be caught off guard anymore.

I dunno there were posts on Facebook about ef5 tornadoes today on Saturday...
I'm actually hoping our quiet stretch pans out because I'm very tired of all the nonsense online. It's gotten out of control

Cap holding firm for places further south right now. HRRR has been pretty poor with this one so far. A few hours ago, it was showing several supercells in the PDS watch area by now.

PDS warning south of Mountain View, AR. Strong rotation and CC drop.
Finally, rain. And prolific lightning. Strangely, T-storm with near calm winds.
Yea, we gotta quit hyping stuff up in this fashion. You can only cry wolf so much before these 'massive events' that never materialize start to get laughed at.

We are way past that. Nobody takes the sensationalism seriously anymore, as they shouldn't. When everything became about likes, clicks, and shares....truth and ethics went out the window......anything for a dollar.
