Misc This Means WAR

That saddens me. I do agree that we have made some mistakes and miscalculations in waging this war. Maybe Trump is making some deal now to get rid of the Mullahs but it seems that regime change is unlikely at the moment which is what I feel the majority of people in Iran and in the region honestly wanted. I know that Iran is weaker now after our attacks but they are also probably emboldened, that while they were decimated, they stayed in power. I feel it is a huge blow to our country if the status quo remains.

I think the truth is probably much more in the middle than either side wants to believe as it always is. I mean we have morons parading about saying they believe Iran over the US, but also those who became too hopeful.

In all honesty, what you are seeing probably was the plan from the get go. What was all the hand wringing from the start? "Oh its another Iraq! If leadership falls then a power vacuum exists, ect and ect."

But if you look at the world for what it is, a theater run by global entities that want stability.

The final result is probably a Venezuela type situation. The Iranian government "stays" in power, they declare "victory" against the great Satan, but underneath the surface, the old guard is dead and the new guard is probably much more likely to acquiesce to the west behind the scenes.

No body gets what they really want. The ones who hate Trump don't get the endless bloodbath they want. The Iranian people don't get the freedom they want. The winners are big money and the government and there is nothing new under the sun.

I asked my good Iranian-American friend for an update on the Iranian citizens’ support for the US/Israel in the war. I was surprised/saddened by his answer. He had been telling me that 80%, the ones that hate the mullah leadership, initially wanted US/Israel to do something. I love getting these updates because I deem them to be the unbiased truth of what’s really going on. He just said this:

Killing of the school girls and bombing of the infrastructure had an effect on people's mood. I would say much less than 80% support US and Israel now, and this is not good.

Yes... still 80% hate Mullahs but bombing the infrastructure weren't good tactics.

We see that US wasn't prepared for this war and we don't see a good outcome from it.

It is not that more hate US/Israel but more being disappointed and wanting an end to this war even though it seems mullahs are going to stay in power.

CIA and even Mossad underestimated the mullahs.

We have no hope for anything good coming out of this. We think mullahs will become stronger after this.
I think that Trump and Bibi really thought there would be a massive uprising after the first bombs fell. I believe if that's what they thought it is the biggest miscalculation of this war.

I don't understand why all these mid eastern countries didn't do the job before waiting on the US. It's disingenuous.

They should join the war, then. They’re in the top five countries in the world for military spending.

Then the Saudis should have done it

Then the Saudis should have done it
Or at least get involved in conducting strikes, securing the strait etc... If they feel that way, they need to join in the effort. And yes, I understand trying to placate to their citizens who may be against it. I may not agree with everything Trump says, but he is right to call out allies who have not pulled their weight in regards to defense.

82nd airborne just got deployed. Takes estimated 18 hours. They are one of our fastest deploying units out there.

Gonna show up on scene, locked and loaded by Friday pm.

2+2=4. Amazed folks cant see whats fixing to happen. We will take control of kharg Island.

Couldnt possibly be about Hezzbulah parked right on your border, funded by Iran, and volleying rockets at your citizens, for years on end , while the actual country they are camped out in turns a blind eye.
Which border? The original Isreali border from 1949 or the current border after decades of Isreali land grabs?

Yeah, Friday may be a big day. We will see what happens after 4pm once the stock market closes for the week.

Wait, I thought we already lost the war. I'm confused.
No need for confusion. The war is lost, this is just the last gasp to try to kill a few more terrorists. Ive read Trump is going to agree to a month+ long ceasefire BEFORE any deal is agreed to. TO clarify, that will give the Iranians time to re-arm and regroup while dragging out negotiations forever. What he SHOULD DO is tell them we will bomb the hell out of them and not stop till every point in any deal is fully implemented.

If Trump werent already talking about a ceasefire with no ending i might think something of it.

Certainly there has been zero change in Iranian leadership as far as them wanting to kill Americans, Jews, and protestors

I am no so sure about that. Not saying Trump is right or wrong, but most of Iran's top people are probably more or less mouth pieces like Mr. "Sort of Want" who faded into silence after he left the presidency.

Based on first-hand knowledge that was shared with me last night, the Iranian citizenry isn’t nearly as supportive of this war as they were when it started. The deaths of children and others and infrastructure damage have been too much for them to accept. Many of those who turned against it want the war to end ASAP as they no longer have hopes for the mullah regime to end due to this war.
The problem with your idea is that bombing the hell out of the mullahs regime has lead to and will continue to lead to unintended consequences for Iranian civilians. The remaining support will likely continue dropping. There is no easy answer.

No there is no easy answer, but there is a necessary conclusion. The murderers cant stay in power. To do so means they will slaughter many more thousands who wanted freedom now.

The reason why Iran now has the upper hand in negotiations is simple. Trump blinked and now Iran knows he will agree to anything to get out of the war.

The Islamic regime in Iran has sent its demands to the U.S. for potential negotiationsAccording to The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, the IRGC is said to be demanding that Washington close all U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf, pay compensation for attacks on Iran, lift all sanctions, and guarantee non-aggression in the future. It also reportedly insists on retaining Iran’s missile program and seeks the right to charge commercial vessels for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, similar to how Egypt charges for transit through the Suez Canal.Additionally, Iran is said to demand that Israel halt its strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Crude is down $4 this morning and stock futures are up 1% on the US push to talk and end war. We’ll see where this goes.
