Misc This Means WAR

Also looking at flight radar, over 6 refueling tankers dragging something, moving towards Middle East from the US, over Europe now

Definitely seems like a last gasp from Iran by firing on gulf states. They have to know its game over after that.

Citizens of Iran are shooting off fireworks, chanting, celebrating all over. Massive protest celebrating is breaking out in LA of all places as well. Hindsight is 20/20 . But we should have wiped these clowns out back in 79/ early 80's.

From my Iranian-American friend, this isn’t surprising at all as it’s consistent with what others have said:

Very happy Ayotolla Khmanei is killed but more leaders of that regime must be killed if we want to get rid of this regime totally.
Videos show people of Iran cheering after hearing the news that he was killed.

We in Qatar were not able to sleep from the shockwave/explosion sounds.

Dozens and dozens of Iranian missiles coming on us. Iran is hitting civilian infrastructure in UAE and Bahrain, but in Qatar it's only military targets till now.

Iranian TV anchor breaks down on air I dunno whether to point and laugh or find it depressing that a grown man would cry over him haha FB_IMG_1772354596567.jpg

For now until the Supreme Leader is elected, there is a Interim Leadership Council to run the country until an new Supreme Leader is elected.

This supposed crying is as you know meaningless because Iranian TV has been state controlled since 1979. He’s under pressure to look sad. Look sad or else possibly suffer consequences!

I just hope that Trump doesnt stop short of victory a second time. Any deal thats signed must be total surrender.

There won't be anything of that sort without boots on the ground. Sadly, it's in the realm of "likely" that the Iranians have strategized that their best bet is simply to take the hit and compel nearby nations to press the US to back off. Not the worst strategy to be honest. US/Israeli aircraft can't do much in the eastern ~1/3 of the country as it's so far away from available air strips and we sure as heck aren't sending tankers over the heartland of the country. On the flipside by them moving so much of their hardware closer to Afghanistan it also limits their long range fires to the Gulf states.

I would urge some caution in thinking the Iranian government will fold up like happened in Iraq and Libya. They have in place what may well be the most organized and modern government in that part of the Muslim world. Yes the Mullahs call the shots at a high level but below them there's a very well organized government with plans in place to deal with exactly this. 18 or so million of the country's 90 million people directly or indirectly work in the government or government sponsored industries. The simple fact is we really don't know how many people there would be willing to enter into armed conflict with security forces. Iranians are not Arabs and thinking things will go as they did elsewhere is foolish.

There's a reason no President went this far before. It's an unwinnable strategy 99 out of 100 times.

Why is Iran targeting the Burj Khalifa
Iranian regime is just a terrorist group that controls a nation state. Targeting civilian sites and tall buildings that are monuments to the greatness of humanity is what terrorist groups do...it doesn't make sense to a Western perspective, but it is their bread and butter
