Little over 8 inches in Darlington. Family in Dillon got right at 11 inches. Crazy storm for the area that will be talked about for a long time.

As many have noted, it’s hard to find a measurement spot that you’re confident with due to the blowing and drifting. Therefore I’m going with 10-11” at my house in Mooresville.

Why are they driving so fast?
I just measured 3 inches in Irmo, SC so with melting we were probably around 3.5 or so.

I decided to drive to Murphy, NC to be sure I saw snow. Glad I did. Murphy got 6 to 7 inches and Marietta got 0! Just a few flurries from what I was told!

I had 9 inches in SouthPark area of CLT. Family also had 9 inches in Mint Hill (east of CLT in Mecklenburg County).

I asked the same thing, just about every time you have a pile up like this, the people are driving too fast for the conditions. While I do hope no one was seriously injured, part of me wants to wag the finger and say " You are partly responsible for this"

That looks like more on James Island, perhaps as much as 0.5”?
12 7/8” was on the board at midnight, 11 3/4” this morning around 8am, likely some compaction after accumulating rates stopped around 2-3am. Drifts 18-24”. My backyard which is on the NE side of the house is knee deep in most places.

I measured 0.75” on a table and it was similar for the average on leaves and grass. This was just enough to make it look like a beautiful white carpet on the grassy areas. That last burst (during 10-11PM) was a real nice icing on the cake as before that it was ~0.5” per an earlier table check. I’m glad I took my pics last night because it was all gone by the time I got up (late) except for small remnants in shady areas.

Frying me that the first post in the thread is arguably the most pathetic total in the entire state. I find this more impressive than the people with a foot
to be clear I think the stunt the atmosphere is pulling on Raleigh right now is cruel and unusual and I’m rooting for this crew going forward

Kind of the story here is that there are areas that were wind swept with little snow and then big big drifts

About 6" in Hope mills, about 4-6" in downtown Fayetteville. Closer to 4" over Spring Lake.

Sylvania, GA pulling 4.5 out of this is crazy. That border belt of Jasper/Screven/Effingham
I’m gonna go with 9-10 here in Marshville, that was the average I got in different places in my yard. I tried to measure in areas that were wind blocked. Areas 5-10 miles to the west seemed to have better banding and higher totals. I think our heaviest was between 6-10 pm. Gonna be slick roads in the am. Y’all stay safe.
