...RECORD DAILY SNOWFALL SET AT AUGUSTA REGIONAL BUSH FIELD GA...

A RECORD SNOWFALL OF 3.5 INCHES WAS SET AT AUGUSTA REGIONAL BUSH
FIELD GA YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 0.5 INCHES SET IN
1977.

Actually more impressive than I would’ve thought. Considering the blowing around, I guess 2 inches fell in the 4ish hour timeframe of straight snow and then more than I was thinking when it started back up overnight.

Not sure I will ever be able to get a accurate measurement here, I have no trees in my yard and neither do most my neighbors so I live in a very open area. Even now the wind is blowing snow in huge swirls shifting it around.

I’m not sure if anything was recorded there after midnight, but KCLT officially recorded 11.0” of snowfall yesterday making it the 4th most snowiest day on record. Liquid equivalent was 0.51” making the snow to liquid ratio 22:1

14” per NWS 5 miles E of Green Sea, SC. I’ve measured anywhere from 9” to 18” in an open field. Drifts everywhere.

I got 1.7 inches at my residence in no man's land between Raleigh to the north, Fuquay Varina to the south and Garner to the east. The ground is covered and the scenery is beautiful. This storm was historic for many areas and I'm happy that many of you got the snow totals you had been dreaming about. Here it is a what could have been storm due to the dry slot that persisted during the daylight hours yesterday.

3.5” measured here in Chapin/Irmo SC. Still a little disappointed that we didn’t get more, but this is the best snow we’ve had in 15 years
