Radar scope has me at roughly 0.5-0.55” of QPF. I’m around 8-8.5” roughly so storm total is at 17:1 ratios currently

19 and moderate snow here in the Noke. Up to 3 1/2 inches now.
Do u think the line that's moving west will eventually fill out the dry slot? Because it do look like it's trying its best

Took good measurements. Rght at 8 inch mark packfan. Need 2- 4 more. These rates are 1 inch hour plus. See if we can pull it off
We put on another quarter inch or so in the 20 since I posted this. 5.0

On a real note, this storm right here is what we’ve all wanted and more. This is truly magical and I know my 3 year old daughter will cherish this for the rest of her life.

I think we got it. Everything I see says right at 4 more. I think we hit double digits for sure. 50% chance to get a foot. One of the best snow days for me of all time!

I just measured 7 inches out in the field. Probably more in protected spots and it's still snowing hard.
Now over 4”, 17.1/16.8, +SN, vis ~1/8 mile, wind still light.
7” and the band is pivoting over me ripping fatties still LFG!!!

Yeah this is pretty ridiculous if it holds up till late tonight I think you are right maybe a lot of people getting 15-20"

The central NC snow hole has been brutal. I live at the red spot. It is now zippering together from north to south. To all of us North Carilinians that have been blanked, we will soon see snow. I hope to see 3-4". Happy for all that have seen a great storm thus far.

I really doubt if we will see anything worthwhile.
A bit of an exaggeration, but I think someone is gonna get up to 1 foot. It's getting hard to measure with all the blowing going on. I am just south of the snowflake icon with almost 7"

Not doing much right now in my James Island area as the light snow bands are creating dry slots. But it looks like another one is coming.

Whew.. what a day. Did some sledding (or attempted to) with the kids, took a couple Jeb walks in the death bands, and blew off the driveway 3 times for far.. that was a first!
So far at 10-11" if I did the snow board correctly. Those heavy bands were wild. Still coming down at a moderate clip.. hopefully can hit the big foot.

It is indeed. Such a complex and dynamic system. Meanwhile, Raleigh is stuck in a brutal dry slot. Zero snow.

I have no idea how much has actually fallen but just since 3pm it has to be close to 3-4 inches or more, I already have 1ft deep drifts...if these rates can keep it up then 1 ft wont be a problem at all

Every time I think it’s gonna stop based on radar it just…doesn’t. 11” and still ripping in Landis. Let’s get to the foot mark!

I went dry from 12-4. Alot of that time I was under better returns than when it was snowing? HRRR says this may be around for a few more hours

The Charlotte death band has been by far the most enjoyable winter weather since the deform band in 2014. Still dumping here and crazy gusts 30+. Flake size finally decreasing a bit, but damn we had some fun outside. Measure anywhere from 5 to 14 inches. I settled on 7.5 to be most reasonable about 20 min ago.
Help me out with the radar returns. Current band is still blossoming NNW. The deform (?) band smoking Sparty is moving SSE. Is our current band influenced by the coastal? I assume the deform (?) band will miss us to the South?

Not sure if it's a middle finger or something else for all us I95 folks. Either way, we got dry slotted.
Just started to come down again, small flakes but best rate we have seen all day. Hope we can hold onto it long into the night...

Snowing very hard in the band between lake Marion and Savannah on 95. Quarter to half mile visibility. Road slushy. Probably just under an inch of snow.
