Misc General Banter Thread

I wouldn't know...I haven't seen 7" since 2002. Not sure how that would even work...
Jan 11’ was a cold snow. Best ratios I’ve ever seen here. I measured 7” on top of the golf cart. If we can find a way to rival that within 2-3”this could be a really good one even back west where the ceiling is a bit lower

My bar for a great event would be 3" in Raleigh. That's higher than what th AIFS just spit out for Raleigh...us Raleigh folks got a lot of work to do.

Wasn’t around the 1988 monster so 2011 is the best one I can remember. Went to sleep with John Cessarich calling for 2-4 inches and woke up to almost 8 inches lol

So I live in Marietta and it looks questionable if I’ll see snow or not. I was thinking of driving up to Murphy NC since I can get a comped room at the casino. What’s everyone’s thoughts on how much snow there?

AIFS was 0.25" at RDU, which surely would be 3-5" with good ratios?

Take a trip as I doubt you'll go wrong. My older sibling (middle brother) is supposedly headed this way (Columbia area) from Atlanta as several family and friends are gonna (which is now in question) to celebrate my and our oldest sibling (brother) birthdays, respectively.

My "traveling brother" is a big fan of snow as well, so he still make the trip to likely experience more snow in his hometown of Columbia. Be safe and enjoy!

Honestly? Drive to Danville.

It's for entertainment lol. I think we all know there's not a lot of usefulness to it. Going to be a long three days...

Yeah I get it I used to do the same thing but then when make myself believe it and get disappointed every single time

Yes, that's the downside of seeing these ridiculous runs we've had over the last couple days. Suddenly, 3-6" just seems like child's play. It's like if it doesn't run past a foot, is it even worth it to snow? Just kidding! :D

Exactly! That’s why I been so frustrated today I’ve been seeing those pretty pink colors on the euro and gfs then the euro gives me 6 inches and I get mad. Even though that would be my biggest snow in 10+ years

I’m just trying to get 4+ for the first time since 2018. To have it with no mixing would be sweet!

You and me both, I haven't seen 4" since February 2015 (since I was in Florida during the winters of 2017-2019, unfortunately). Man, it would be so nice! I think last February's snowfall (3-3.5") was the first one that I've had since 2015 that covered all the grass blades, which is a big indicator of a solid snow for me (since that's usually warning criteria, at least).
