Mixing in here in Cary
Big ole flakes! Got some slush on the car now so we’ll call that “accumulating snowfall”.

35F now and flipped already to predominantly snow with slush trying to collect on elevated surfaces
Pretty good rates. If we can cool off the BL a little more and keep these rates off we can get some stickage heading towards sunset. You know, one of these days it’s going to pay off to be further south than Lebanon Township, but that day is not today it seems.
I need to drive to Cary in a couple hours.
EDIT: Based on radar, I don't think we have much longer, though. Maybe we can eek out a dusting before it ends, but it's going to have to happen quickly!

That’s down in Pittsboro? Goes to show how important rates must’ve been for changing over to snow! Wouldn’t have normally expected Pittsboro to outperform us being due south, but these things are always surprising!

Glad to see some NC friends seeing flakes/dustings today! That's about as much as you could ask for from this setup I think.

Had about 5 minutes of snow mixing with the rain here south of Raleigh. Cannot even call it an appetizer for next week

About done. The cutoff line is heading east fast. I wouldn't call it a win in the snow department but the total precip was a huge win for the drought.
It did the same here then went from 39-35 when the snow started mixing
