Looks like a classic SE winter storm with the snow and ice. UK looks similar to the Canadian, too. Euro, GFS, UK and Canadian all have the storm.

Best snow I’ve ever seen. Daughter was 3 and we played in it for prob 8 hrs while it fell and again all day the next.

Just looked at the 12z GFS and I gather a lot of deep SE folks love it. Of course I don't. That would be terrible (for me) to miss most of the precip to the south. But I can say if I'm going to miss a storm, I'd rather see my friends to the south see it than folks to the north.

It wouldn't be the first time we've squandered away a consensus storm in this board's history. But it does seem times are tense now!! Last winter was actually okay here, so I am not so much that way, but I definitely get it for many here. Rough last few winters!!
When snowgoose appears on the other se regional board and talks about this period I pay attention. He's rare to post much in that sub forum and does not come on and comment capriciously
It’s not so bad if you drive to find it. Survivable. Albeit barely!
I’m gonna go ahead and book a hotel in WNC for the following weekend. With a fair cancellation policy.That way it will almost feel like I can’t miss. This has worked for me before. Almost fail proof

Question: has ATL ever gotten snow withb wedge setup. I remember, like 2011, It started as snow and then sleet and by morning it was a light freezing rain. I can't remember just pure snow from a wedge setup in ATL.
