i will say and maintain i think that SC upstate/charlotte are super mega due and i am massively rooting for this region going forwardCelebrating highs in the 40's and mega frost seems to be the new norm. We get 2 nights of possible upper teens and it's a banter winter...lol
I was around for those true outbreaks of multiple miserable single digit lows and the highs never reach freezing. They really suck but you remember those days. I promise nobody is gonna remember a 10 day stretch when we didn't hit 50 in December.
I definitely won't but into the magical MJO phase is the key ingredient anymore. Had high hopes for December. Now if we return to phase 8 in January then maybe we can another magical ingredient to go with it and actually produce for more than 10% of the board. For the meantime let's play some golf this weekend and enjoy..piss on snow!
Could you be having stomach migraines due to stress of worrying about your heart ? It is a real thing. I hope you feel better. Thanks!
Yeah I went to the cardiologist yesterday and I’m wearing a heart monitor atm, I have to wear it for at least 2 weeks.
My heart feels a lot better tho, it’s just strange how my palpitations moved from my heart to my stomach on Friday and have steadily gotten worse at my belly
yeah and in 11 days the sun angle starts increasing again and the march towards summer begins.Meteorological winter hasn’t even started. The boards get tougher to bear every year. It’s December the 10th.
Sun angle doesn't matter as much as it's brought up or we would have had snow the last 3 weeks.yeah and in 11 days the sun angle starts increasing again and the march towards summer begins.
Sun angle becomes a big issue after Valentines Day. So that gives us 2 months.Sun angle doesn't matter as much as it's brought up or we would have had snow the last 3 weeks.
Correct it doesn't matter this time of yearSun angle becomes a big issue after Valentines Day. So that gives us 2 months.
I really think there probably isn't a key ingredient for us. A couple years ago we had consistent -NAO and never got any cold out of it because we had a bad pacific... or something. Last year we had a solid cold Jan and managed a single leftover helping at the table. I honestly don't know what it would take anymore for our area but it is frustrating because, in general, getting below freezing isn't that hard ( like in FL or parts of Gulf Coast) and precipitation isn't a problem; so you would think they would happen to align sometimes; which is why we have a historical snow average. But it seems darn near impossible now to get it to work out in an area that used to get a few reasonable shots and a score or two every season. Another reason that last year was such a heartbreaker for us when Gulf coast and FL got a historic event.Celebrating highs in the 40's and mega frost seems to be the new norm. We get 2 nights of possible upper teens and it's a banter winter...lol

I love cold and snow as much as anyone but in reality it’ll virtually never happen on Christmas in Fayetteville, so why suffer? Bring on the warmth
You remember that Brent? If I hear one more person here talk about how they remember it snowing every Christmas and something has changed
It was 80 on Christmas Eve 1955 btw for the people with the short memories![]()
Our luck strong Nino and a torchNow that winter is a wrap, what do you guys see happening next year during a nino?
Sucks to get old! I’ll go next: I have congestive heart failure in 2017/18, took an ablation surgery to correct it and afib. The cause of CHF was unknown.YEP. I went extremely low carb and that may be what messed my gut up. It seems I’m slowly feeling better once I brought the carbs back. If it isn’t one thing it’s another
The worm has turned. People just don't realize it yet.Celebrating highs in the 40's and mega frost seems to be the new norm. We get 2 nights of possible upper teens and it's a banter winter...lol

This was my reaction around that time of year here in the northern Atlanta metroI really think there probably isn't a key ingredient for us. Were you still in Alabama when the Snowpocalypse hit the southeast in January 2014 ?I grew up in Alabama and there's many winters I have zero recollection of snow unfortunately. It sucks but that's part of the southeast
Even in Dallas 5 out of 7 winters I was there nothing beyond a few flakes
In the two cases it happened it was in February too
And since 2021(as much as everyone acts like that was so great) they haven't had much either. Had a brutal cutoff in the northern suburbs in January
With NC State playing Liberty and the Fighting Jerry Fallwell's tonight, They've got these two little guards that just bomb 3s. What occurs first? A Will Wade coached Team at State holds a team UNDER 35% from 3? OR .... A traditional "85 Classic" Atlanta - GSP - CLT - GSO - Raleigh - Richmond ? Nothing insane just widespread 6-10" Totals with 1/4 - 1/2" ICE and 1/2"- 1" Sleet on top. Then to make it sweeter .... for the next 5 days after Lows around 15 and highs QUOTE]
Well I be damned. We have our answer

Man Mack! Hang in there buddy. Hate to hear all that. Life can be tough. As a type one insulin dependent diabetic I’ve spent the last 17 years of my life constantly fighting to keep myself alive. No days off. It’s honestly exhausting but without a cure I can either deal with it or die. No middle ground. I’m very good at dealing with it and I keep my numbers as low as a non diabetic but that’s with a lot of effort behind the scenes. 24/7 job. I also just found out in late August that my 4 year old has also been handed the gene. So now I have to keep him alive too and teach him the art of saving yourself every day. The stress has really gotten to me but this is the only life we get. I think we have to make the best of it. Some people get dealt a worse hand than others and some are forced to do life on hard mode. Thats life. Thats always bothered me but I’ve got to wake up every day and control what I can. Keep hanging in thereSucks to get old! I’ll go next: I have congestive heart failure in 2017/18, took an ablation surgery to correct it and afib. The cause of CHF was unknown.
2021, go in to get gall bladder removed, and find out I have severe non-alcoholic sclerosis of the liver, again, no known cause.
This causes verices on your esophagus from the pressure of your liver not functioning, so I have to go get endoscopy in my esophagus every 6months and they band off the big ones and they just fall off
If one of those ruptures, I can bleed out in 5 minutes. They tell me not to throw up, cause that could do it!
Enough whining, bring on snow
