Misc General Banter Thread

I've never seen someone tag themselves in a post. Do you get a notification you were tagged as soon as you post it?

I don’t know if there are any Moody Blues fans here. John Lodge, bassist, singer, and songwriter passed yesterday. He joined the MBs in 1966. So, he wasn’t an original.

The songs he wrote were quite diverse. Here are two examples:

“I’m just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)”:

“Isn’t Life Strange?”

I like “Go Now” which was their first single (I think), “The Voice”, and their last hit “Wildest Dreams”

Nothing wrong with “Knights in White Satin” either.

They had a knack for making their songs sound mystical, and in some cases like an adventure.

64 NE wind 5-10 solid cloud cover A+ October day
You should be down here near Shaggy and I. Feels like a winters day. Constantly raining under full deck of clouds, breezy, and cold. Campbell’s soup commercial type day

“Go Now” was their 2nd single and 1st hit. It’s lead singer was Denny Laine. He along with another member left in 1966 and he later was in Wings. They were replaced by John Lodge and Justin Hayward.

I also love this:

Looks like Cape Verde was active in October :) Pretty cool.

Joe B really likes them and uses them for his introduction to Saturday summary

Favor: anyone with a weather bell account, can you post an extended forecast temp graph for KTCL from the NBM and Euro?

Thanks in advance!

Wow; it's stinking hot outside. I'm ready for FALL!

I've never found an October like this before here

I mean yes we've had plenty of 90s before but the fact we've only had one day below 80 in the last 3 weeks is beyond embarrassing. It's the fact we haven't even had a legit front yet

Our average high is about to be in the 60s!

Even the fronts next week were above normal

This is the latest we've ever had a low not get below 50

I just hope there's some correlation to hot Octobers=good winters because yikes
