Pattern Octoburn

I personally would like to see it warm through beginning of December and then get cold and stay cold through mid March. Just wish casting. I don't remember many snow or ice storms in November around my area

Exactly even here there's barely been any snow before Christmas in 5 years. I'm in no rush

It just rained about 20 drops. That's much more an immediate concern how dry it's been

Yeah I do see a lot better pattern here too

Of course it's still over a week out. The lack of rain is also a bigger problem because unlike over there October is supposed to be wet
I think it's fixing to get stormier from west to east from what I've gathered

Didn't get out of the mid-60's today.

Honestly, in this case, I'm over it already. I'd like for it to clear out and for us to see at least the upper 70's with low humidity.

I’ve gotten 0.20” the last 24 hours ending 11PM this evening from the trough coming out of the low then off of FL. About all of it fell overnight through mid morning.
I’ve received 2.2” MTD.

As has been forecasted for the last few days, areas of light rain on the backside of the nor’easter are beginning to pivot down into this area as of 10AM. This is despite these same forecasts correctly having had no rain the last 24 hours. Totals today should be light.

Edit: 10/12 totals were decent with 0.35”. Now 2.55” MTD.

Like to eek out some rain lol. We have seed laying everywhere on lawns
Looks like it might be a while. The pattern change may bring some cold front rain through, but the bulk of the big storm action looks to stay across the north.

I have received .71 inches of rain from this system at my residence near Lake Wheeler and may be able to squeeze out another one hundredth or two of an inch with the light rain showers that are moving through today. It's not the inch or more that I was hoping for but at least it should be enough to revive the lawn and stop the early falling of some of the leaves in my yard once the breezy conditions subside.

12z eps had me a little excited for a moment when i saw this frame but she fizzles and we end up staying AN. euro finally gets a front through past day 10, and we do seem to have a bit of ENS support in that general time frame. so, besides a quick cool shot for a chilly Fri morning, looks pretty benign and above normal, but not exactly getting to the upper 80s/low 90s that the euro AI and GFS wanted to give us mid-late this week

My guess a little rain maybe a thunderstorm and a brief cool down behind the front in about a week. We still have a ways to go before any big cold fronts imo

Spent the day at Scarowinds with the family yesterday. Great fall weather. Thick cloud deck and cool all day long. Sweatshirt and blue jeans. They have some of the best roller coasters in the country

Looking like it will 1st week of November , before we get the pattern to start changing, mixing up. Meanwhile south central US gonna bake. We have fabulous wx here & escape it. Pitfall to our fabulous wx, is absence of rain, western half NC. Avg Frost here is Oct 20th. Good chance we roll into November, before we can pop a 32. At least, that's the way it looks right now. Pattern could use a seaboard runner up out of the Caribbean, to shake things loose. This weekends is to far OTS/ split up energy etc. to do the trick.

This might definitely be the latest we go without a sub 50 temperature in the books, but im going to have to research it to confirm.
How low have you been going? I hit 44.5 this morning but your setup is a lot different.

This is probably gonna be our hottest October ever here at this rate 😂 headed for latest sub 50 reading for sure

Maybe that's a good sign? I dunno anymore. I still see analogs all over the place.. I've literally seen one with almost no snow and another where it snowed 10 days in January alone(the record highs from most of this week 🤣)

Still holding strong. I’ve hit the low 50s a couple of times, but that’s it.
