Pattern Sweatember

First Frost for MBY is only about 25 days away. Oct 20 is the average and the CFS has been rock steady for over a week showing climo 2m temps for Mid October onward . Lots of Blues ( 30's & Mtn 20's) for night time lows. Great times ahead.
Gonna throw out the winter rye and catch the rain this weekend. Hadn't rained but once past several weeks, but Fri night I have to smoke the ole Hog all night for a Saturday rendezvous. And just knew, if its gonna rain, that will be the time it does lol.

Looks like all models I've seen paint minimum 1-2 inch + qpf across all NC between now and Sunday. Believe 0z Ukmet had up to 5 inches over around US1 corridor. See how it shakes out
I've seen them do that before, very recently and it didn't shake out so well

Surprise .2" ahead of the main system. 1.4" this week and a whopping 1.7" for the month. There is even a little color showing up, probably more from drought.

Same
I've had .84 in last 41 days, grass dying and leaves falling it looks more like zero
.09 for me. I actually saw fields being irrigated this week, not sure the crop.

Can't wait to get a rainy few days and the same olds posting that dumb kid rock meme

Picked up .3 last night from couple downpours. The Big Wet is underway for the next 5-6 days.
Only if one of the tropical systems come in. If that does not happen many of us in NC and SC will remain dry. We went from a 60% chance today down to 30% and I look for this to continue. I would not be shocked to see my area not get 1 drop of rain right through next week.

Wow we received 1.91 today from a couple of storms that passed through. Until today we had received less than 3.5 inches since the 4th of July.
Ended up with 3.36 total yesterday and early this morning. Was hoping for at least an inch and was blessed with much more. Lawn is already looking better.

The heavier showers missed my residence yesterday evening near Lake Wheeler but I got .44 inches which will settle the dust for now. It looks like I'm in store for more rain today and Saturday and who knows how much from what might be Hurricane Imelda early next week. Rainfall has been scarce the past couple of weeks but I don't want to have to take a crash boat building course anytime soon.

It rained, honestly can’t believe it. First drops in my area of JoCo in weeks.

Went back and looked at data. For my backyard and surrounding area, we went almost 6 solid weeks without any precip before last night's brief shower. Fair to say the corn I'm looking out my window needed it, but it was not enough.

I had to order a new tempest but one up the street is showing about 2.5" for the past few days. Even with the two week dry spell we should end up close to normal for the month.
