It's taking a junk out of the baja low. this could be a big incoming.
I’m not sure what happens once it get to the Carolina’s but my guess is it shears out. Looks relatively similar to the GFS though. Good trends I would say let’s not sweat the small stuff!

The Euro has a storm now. No need to focus on specifics. Absolutely great trends tonight on the 00z runs. In fact, every model has a winter storm to some degree except the CMC. And they all agree on timing... less than 7 days away now. It's been a while since we could say that!

Need opposite, so it can suck down reinforcing air as it deepens. We good at this pace tonight.
Euro is more amped with the baja wave - more ridging out ahead of it (and warmth), and slower with it kicking out - and wave dropping into central plains isn’t as forceful and more positive tilt. It’s not exactly the UKMet, but it’s first cousins with it
Atlanta to Raleigh and SE of there can’t have a Baja wave that is both big and slowly moving east. Cold air in place is moving out thru time
EPS continues to trend to more interaction

Yes, that looks better than earlier runs. Nice trends overall tonight with 6-7 days to go. I really think there’s some gas in the tank for this one.

Something interesting to note is a day or 2 after the system the EPS has another round of overrunning

AIFS model is a nice event for E AL/ETN/NGA/most of NC, 2mt are marginal though. Concrete
