The party in power rarely wins special elections. 220-215 just went to 217-215.

I know enough to know the party in power doesnt win special elections. I know enough to know dems will outspend reps 10-1. I know enough to know rep turnout will be low.

We may very well get speaker Jefferies for a while if this keeps up. At least until the special elections are held.

No, had trump won in 2020 Youngkin would not have come close. The NJ gov race almost went rep in 2021 going from +14 dem in 2017 to dem +2 in 2021

You have yet to make a political prediction that has been correct.
 
Not a big fan of the Gaetz pick, however, it seems Trump is loading up on loyalists in specific positions and sprinkling in moderates in others. Something he didn't do too well in 2016. I really don't think he thought he would win in 2016 and was kind of caught off guard. One thing is for sure, the rats are getting very nervous, and by God, I'm here for it.
